In the Outdoors: Noting Nature
May offers so much color and life! Stop to smell the roses, or at least sketch them - be in the now and take in the details during a short nature hike around Atwood Park, where you will have opportunities to draw different elements of the area. Colored pencils and paper will be provided. Please arrive at the north entrance of the park and meet at the Atwood Center.

It is wildflower season, and pollinators are abuzz! Join us for bee-themed activities in the park and at the Atwood Center. From a short hike up to our hilltop prairie, bee-themed crafts, and meeting a beekeeper, this event is sure to bee a good time!

In the Outdoors: Weekend Warrior
Living off the land takes a lot of knowledge and skills in various areas. Learn the skills of archery and tomahawk throwing at Atwood Park, and become a weekend warrior! Take aim at our targets; the crowds will roar, but no worries here, since no one keeps score! Come give it a try; we’ll show you some tricks as your arrows fly and your tomahawk sticks! Participants must be at least five years old for archery and seven years old for tomahawks.

In the Outdoors: Campfire and Constellations
With the Perseids meteor shower active until the 24th of August, join us for a night of light! Begin the night around a campfire, and end it stargazing. Bring a blanket, bring a friend; we’ll bring firewood! All ages welcome!
